7/3/25 - PUT ON SOME VIDEOHIPPOS...

The entirety of Alam No Hris is so
underrated compared to Krill's future work
and it's such a shame because I think it's
so damn amazing...

The whole album was recorded in a
basement and is littered with errors
(you can hear Jonah stepping on the effects
pedal in A Pair Of Shorts and Aaron's guitar
gets unplugged in I Am The Cherry hehe)
but it adds to the whole thing y'know, especially when hearing it live. I've only found about 6
Alam No Hris recordings (and would love some more) and I kinda prefer them to the recorded
versions. I would rip out all 32 of my Teeth just to hear them live. The album's raw and
loud and it makes everything Jonah sings about feel so much more real and comforting. I feel
so at home hearing Solitaire, Pirahna Girl, Maximal Being and all the rest. If I really had to
pick a favourite... hm... probably Solitaire...

It's about the end of a relationship and the loneliness it brings, thinking about past
conversations and trying to distract yourself. Personally I don't relate to all that just yet but
my favourite part is near the end. Just replace Arthur Russell and Videohippos with Krill and
